Thanks to donations raised for The Arizona Pet Project during our year-end fundraising, we can support even MORE families and pets in need, just like how you helped Daniel and his dog, Luke!

Our team met Daniel and his dog, Luke, after Luke slipped out of a gate that was accidentally left open, and in his confusion about being far from the familiar, he was hit by a car.

Luckily, the person who struck him stopped and got him to a vet for medical attention. He was later transferred to the shelter so his family could find him. When they did, they were overjoyed, but they quickly panicked again when they heard the return-to-owner fee was $80.00.

Perhaps $80.00 doesn’t sound out of reach, but to a family with kids dealing with serious illness entering the holiday season, it may have well been $1,000.00.

With your help, The Arizona Pet Project provided shelter intervention and paid Luke’s shelter fees, and had him neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped too!

Daniel was so grateful and said, “I didn’t know how I was going to get Luke home and make sure my family had food to eat.”

Because of compassionate people like you and our caring community of people committed to keeping families together, Luke returned home safely!
