We’ve got a feel-good story to share with you featuring this cute-as-can-be, 105-pound doggo named Blueberry! Temporary pet boarding in Arizona helps families in crisis–including this pet family!
When Blueberry’s family was told by their landlord that the home they were renting had been sold out from under them, they had to move out…quickly.
Scrambling to find a new place to live, the family gathered everything they had, scraped together their savings, and were fortunate enough to find a new place. Phew! Almost…
The problem was that their new rental agreement had a breed restriction.
And Blueberry, their animal companion, was absolutely not allowed to live there.
What happened next?
Despite their best efforts, the family was going to have to be separated, because there was no way they were going to give Blueberry up.
Knowing their dog, Blueberry, was not welcome, and they had nowhere else to go, Blueberry’s human decided they would live together in the car. The rest of their family was living in their new rental.
His best bud, Blueberry, is like a child to him, and he would do anything and everything to keep his family together! But they knew living in their car would only be an option for so long, especially with temperatures ratcheting up quickly.
After all their hard work, their family was back to square one and looking for a new place to live.
Again.
Thankfully, that’s when we connected with this family!
Reuniting Families: How Temporary Pet Boarding Made Blueberry’s Story Possible
Thanks to generous donations to The Arizona Pet Project, one of our social workers was able to place Blueberry into temporary boarding! Temporary pet boarding in Arizona helps families in crisis, and this was no exception.
A single gift from compassionate people like YOU made this story possible.
3 weeks.
That’s how long this family needed to keep Blueberry safe and sound in temporary boarding. This allowed his humans peace of mind so that they could focus on finding a new home to move into.
3 weeks after we put him into temporary boarding, Blueberry’s family signed a new lease! And now they could move into a home where their playful, 105-pound fur child was welcome!
Reunited, their entire family can start their next chapter…together!
