The Arizona Pet Project’s Executive Director, Leanna Taylor, was invited to present at the Best Friends Animal Society Mountain West Region Summit in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Yesterday, she spoke about our organization’s mission and the importance of data, compassion and removing barriers, all in the name of supporting families and saving pets!
Leanna shared how The Arizona Pet Project shifted from a “Friends of” group, serving as a funding arm in partnership with Maricopa County Animal Care and Control, to a community-based prevention organization that impacts pets both in and out of shelters.
Workshop attendees learned how adopting a value system in support of pets and people, combined with data-driven outreach programs, can help their own organizations achieve their lifesaving goals.
We are grateful to Best Friends Animal Society for extending this opportunity!
